I walked over a mile to Verbatim Books.

After visiting Polite Provisions to see the Christmas pop-up shop, I noticed there were books nearby. Yeah, so I didn't quite realize how far a mile was in boots. One of the things that really attracted me to this bookstore was how it answered the following question on their website:

Why don't you have an online inventory?

We feel that one of the benefits of being a brick-and-mortar bookstore in the age of instant gratification is to experience the pleasure of browsing the unknown and unfamiliar, and the joy of discovering something new.

I love that answer because browsing through used bookstores gives me great joy. It definitely is a treasure hunt every time I go to a new one. I feel like Verbatim Books laying out that answer really made me love them a bit more. I also saw their mini-documentary and appreciated why they opened it.
